Download TeamMap for your smartphone.
Get the App
Download
First Time Setup
Download and open the app
Find TeamMap on the App Store or Google Play, download it, and tap to open.
Sign in
Enter your email and password, then tap Sign In.
Allow location access
Tap Always Allow when prompted for location access.
Allow notifications
Tap Allow to receive messages, task alerts, and updates.
App Navigation
The mobile app uses a bottom navigation bar with four main sections:
| Tab | What it does |

| Dashboard | Your home screen with smart tiles and quick actions |
| Feed | Chat messages, activity feed, and notifications |
| Map | Real-time map with team locations and entities |
| More | Additional features and quick actions |
Dashboard
The Dashboard is your personalized home screen featuring:
- Smart tiles for quick access to tasks, events, shifts, and more
- Activity summary showing recent updates
- SOS button for emergencies (if not in the tile grid)
- Customizable layout based on your role
Feed
The Feed tab combines:
- Chat - Direct messages and channel conversations
- Activity - Recent activity from your team
- Unread message badges show new messages
Map
The Map tab shows:
- Real-time team member locations
- Tasks, events, and locations on the map
- In View panel listing visible entities
- Tap any pin for details
More Menu
Access additional features through the More menu:
- Tasks, Events, Shifts, Routes
- Forms and form submissions
- Inventory and Lost & Found
- Profile and settings
- Support and help
Permissions
The app needs these permissions to work properly:
| Permission | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Location | Show where you are on the map |
| Camera | Take photos for forms |
| Notifications | Alert you to new messages and tasks |
| Microphone | Walkie-talkie feature |
For location, choose “Always Allow” so tracking works even when the app is closed.
Troubleshooting
App is slow
- Close other apps running in the background
- Restart the TeamMap app
- Check your internet connection
- Make sure you have the latest version
Location not updating
- Open Settings on your phone
- Find TeamMap in your apps
- Set Location to “Always”
- Restart the app
On iPhone, go to Settings → Privacy → Location Services → TeamMap → Always
Not receiving notifications
- Open Settings on your phone
- Find TeamMap in your apps
- Turn on Notifications
- Allow all notification types
App crashes
- Update to the latest version from the app store
- Restart your phone
- If still crashing, delete and reinstall the app
Reinstalling won’t delete your data - just sign in again and everything will sync.
