What is a BOLO?
A BOLO (Be On the Lookout) is an alert that notifies your team to watch for a specific person, vehicle, or item. BOLOs help coordinate team awareness across your organization.
BOLO Types

Viewing BOLOs
- Open the More menu from the bottom navigation
- Tap BOLOs to view active alerts
- Swipe through the list to see all BOLOs
- Tap any BOLO to see full details
BOLO Details
Each BOLO contains:
- Title - Brief description of what to look for
- Description - Detailed information
- Category - Person, vehicle, or item
- Priority - Low, normal, high, or urgent
- Status - Active, resolved, or expired
- Photos - Images to help identification
- Last Seen - Location and time information
BOLO Priorities
| Priority | When to use |
|---|---|
| Low | General awareness, no immediate action needed |
| Normal | Standard alert, report if spotted |
| High | Important, notify supervisor immediately if spotted |
| Urgent | Critical, immediate action required |
Responding to BOLOs
If you spot something matching a BOLO:
- Open the BOLO from your notifications or list
- Tap Report Sighting
- Add your current location (auto-filled)
- Take a photo if safe to do so
- Add any notes about what you observed
- Submit the report
Your supervisor will be notified immediately.
Common Questions
How long do BOLOs stay active?
BOLOs remain active until manually resolved or until their expiration time (if set).
Who can create BOLOs?
BOLOs are created by supervisors in the web app. You can view and report sightings from the mobile app.
Can I get notified about new BOLOs?
Yes, enable BOLO notifications in your app settings to receive alerts for new BOLOs in your channels.
