Your Profile

Changing Your Profile Picture

  1. Tap the Profile icon
  2. Tap your current picture
  3. Choose Take Photo or Choose from Gallery
  4. Crop and save

Updating Your Name

Contact your organization admin to update your display name.


Password & Security

Changing Your Password

  1. Go to the login screen
  2. Tap Forgot Password
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Check your email for a reset link
  5. Follow the link to set a new password

If you don’t receive the reset email, check your spam folder or contact support.

Signing Out

  1. Tap your Profile icon
  2. Scroll to the bottom
  3. Tap Sign Out
  4. Confirm

Notifications

Managing Notifications

Control what alerts you receive:

  1. Tap your Profile icon
  2. Tap Notification Settings
  3. Toggle each notification type on or off:
    • New messages
    • Task assignments
    • Shift reminders
    • SOS alerts
    • Event reminders

SOS alerts cannot be turned off - they are always delivered for safety.

Notification Sounds

To change notification sounds, use your phone’s system settings:

iPhone: Settings > TeamMap > Notifications > Sounds

Android: Settings > Apps > TeamMap > Notifications


Privacy

Location Sharing

Your location is shared with your organization when:

  • The app is open
  • You have “Always Allow” location permission enabled
  • During your scheduled shifts (depending on organization settings)

To manage location permissions:

iPhone: Settings > Privacy > Location Services > TeamMap

Android: Settings > Apps > TeamMap > Permissions > Location

Location sharing is required for TeamMap to work properly. Your organization admin controls when tracking is active.

How do I delete my account?

Contact your organization admin. Account deletion is handled at the organization level.

Can I use TeamMap on multiple devices?

Yes! Sign in with the same email on any device. Your data syncs automatically between web and mobile.

How do I change my email address?

Contact your organization admin to update your email address.

Why does the app need background location?

Background location allows TeamMap to:

  • Share your location during active shifts
  • Trigger geofence alerts
  • Ensure SOS works even when the app is minimized
