Log and manage lost items and reunite them with owners.

What is Lost & Found?

The Lost & Found system helps you log items that are found or reported lost, track their status, and facilitate returning them to their rightful owners.

Item Status

Viewing Lost & Found

1. Open the More menu
2. Tap Lost & Found
3. View items by status (Found, Lost, Claimed)
4. Tap an item to see details

Logging Found Items

1. Tap + Log Item in Lost & Found
2. Take a photo of the item
3. Enter item details:
   • Title - Brief description
   • Category - Type of item
   • Description - Detailed information
   • Found Location - Where you found it
4. Submit the report
5. Store the item in your designated lost & found area

Item Categories

Reporting Lost Items

If someone reports a lost item:

1. Tap + Log Item
2. Select Report Lost
3. Enter details from the person:
   • Description of the item
   • When they lost it
   • Where they think they lost it
   • Contact information
4. Submit the report
5. Check if it matches any found items

Claiming Items

When someone claims an item:

1. Open the found item
2. Tap Process Claim
3. Verify ownership:
   • Ask for identifying details
   • Check ID if required
4. Capture claimant information
5. Have them sign for the item
6. Mark as Claimed or Returned

Common Questions

How long do you keep found items?

Check with your supervisor about your organization’s retention policy.

What if no one claims an item?

Unclaimed items can be disposed according to your organization’s policy after the retention period expires.

Can owners search for their lost items?

Direct inquiries to your organization’s lost & found desk or website.
