Using the Map
The map shows your team, tasks, locations, and more - all in real-time.

Viewing the Map
- Tap the Map tab at the bottom
- See real-time pins for team members, tasks, events, and more
- Use the In View tab to see what’s visible on screen
Map Pin Colors
Different colors represent different types of items:

Team members can have custom colors assigned by your organization.
Map Layers
The map shows multiple layers of information:

Map Controls

Filtering Layers
- Tap the filter icon or navigation chips
- Toggle entity types to show/hide
- View filtered items in the In View tab
Finding Entities
- Use the In View tab to see entities on screen
- Scroll through categorized lists (Tasks, Events, Users, etc.)
- Tap any item to view details
- The map centers on selected items
Entity Details
Tap/click any pin to see:
- Name and description
- Status and timestamps
- Assigned users
- Quick actions (message, navigate, view)
Creating Markers (Pins)
Markers are created from the web app. You can view and tap markers to see their details.
Shapes & Geofences
Shapes and geofences are visible on the map. Tap to view their details and any associated restrictions.
In View Tab
See what’s currently visible on your map:
- Tap the In View button
- Browse categorized lists:
- Tasks - Visible tasks
- Events - Visible events
- Users - Team members on screen
- Routes - Visible routes
- Locations - Sites in view
- Areas - Geofences/shapes
- Pins - Custom markers
- Tap any item to open its details
- Pan the map to update the list
Clustering
At lower zoom levels, nearby items are grouped into clusters:
- Numbers show how many items in a cluster
- Zoom in to separate individual pins
- Tap/click clusters to expand
- Different entity types cluster separately
Floor Plans
Floor plans show automatically when you zoom into buildings that have them configured.
Common Questions
Why can’t I see someone on the map?
They might:
- Have their phone off or app closed
- Not have location permissions enabled
- Be in an area with no signal
- Have location tracking paused
Why is my location wrong?
Try:
- Close and reopen the app
- Make sure GPS is turned on
- Go outside for better GPS signal
- Check location is set to “Always Allow” in settings
How do I change pin colors?
Marker colors are set in the web app. Team member colors are set by admins.
